Easter is one of my favorite religious holidays for multiple reasons but of course, it wouldn’t be complete without dressing up for church with your family and having a good old-fashioned Easter egg hunt in the front yard! Sadly, we will still be under a stay-at-home order on Sunday but that DOES NOT mean Easter is canceled!! Here are some fun and easy ways to celebrate Easter at home this year!
Create a mini easter egg hunt in your house!
We used to do this any time it was a little chilly as kids! My parents would hide eggs behind the TV, on shelves, behind pillows…the hiding spots are endless! This keeps the kids safe inside but also doesn’t take away the age-old tradition! If you don’t have any easter eggs here are some cheap ones you can grab online or makeshift at home:
Color Easter eggs with an at-home kit!
At our house, we go all out coloring easter eggs! We use stickers, tie-dye them, draw pictures, make them into emojis, and so much more! You can hard-boil eggs or use plastics ones. Here are some at-home coloring kits to try:
Put Together an Easter Basket for Someone in Need.
This is the perfect time to give back to those who are struggling right now! You can throw in candy, medical supplies, toys, clothes, whatever you can find! Put together your basket and drop it off outside of a nursing home, homeless shelter, Goodwill, etc!
Make Easter treats!
For you and the Easter bunny of course! Join your fam in the kitchen and enjoy making homemade cookies, cupcakes, brownies, or whatever you love to make! Here are some easy at-home recipes I found on Pinterest:
Deliver Food to Local Frontline Workers!
Send food (safely of course) to your local hospital, police station, firehouse, or to anyone you know working on the frontlines during this time! If you are worried about coming in contact with someone you can use a delivery service that is trained to work safely, or order cookies, groceries, etc and have them sent to these places!
Dress up!
I LOVE spring fashion trends and picking out my Easter dress every year, so you know I can’t let it go to waste! Put some makeup on, do your hair, throw on that beautiful spring dress and brighten your mood on Sunday! I linked some affordable dress options on my LTK page!
Watch Easter-themed movies!
Watching Here Comes Peter Cottontail with my family is one of my favorite Easter traditions! We sit and color Easter eggs while watching the classic movie and enjoy the fun behind the holiday! You can buy or watch it here:
