I am ALL about the details at a wedding! Naturally, that was something that I focused on for our big day. After scouring Pinterest and my favorite wedding pages, I noticed there was one detail that always stood out to me…THE SIGNAGE! Wedding day signage is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after vendors, and for good reason. We worked with Script Your Event (@scriptyourevent) to create our signage and OH.MY.GOSH, Christine brought the WOW factor!! Our guests are still talking about it! My very favorite detail of our ceremony was centered around one of our signage pieces.
You would probably be surprised to learn that it IS a budget-friendly option to elevate and fill your space! PRO TIP: see what pre-made designs your vendor already has to cut back on costs! I’ll share some other money-saving tips later in this post!

TIPS:
- REPURPOSE! If you read about our wedding flowers, you know this one…reuse everything you can! Opt for a solid colored background on any of your signs, and you can use both the back and front for a two-in-one design!
- Design with interchangeable pieces! Did you see our seating chart sign-up there? It doubled as our photo backdrop during the reception (yeah, really!) Christine was an absolute genius with this one! I wanted a photo area with our neon sign, but I didn’t have the budget for an expensive flower wall. So instead, Christine used her interchangeable bases and signs to flip our seating chart into a backdrop! We hung the neon sign, filled it in with our extra flowers, and BAM!
- Trying to decide what signs you NEED? Think about when you’re a wedding guest- where do you feel “lost”, or where do you wish there was literally a sign to tell you what to do? Is that a guest book sign, buffet menu, or timeline?
- Make it personal! The best thing about details at a wedding is that they’re personal to the couple! Use funny sayings you two love, add your pets, or the skyline of the city where you met. Make it YOU!
- Don’t be afraid to be BOLD! We had a very neutral/muted tones theme at our wedding, but the signage is where I was able to get more outside of the box and be creative. I’m so glad I did this because it made for some really great “WOW” moments!
- Check your vendor’s rental inventory! Many designs require things like mirrors or easels; instead of going out and buying one, rent them directly from your vendor! This can cut costs and save you the hassle of taking bulky items home at the end of the night! A lot of vendors also offer rentals on card boxes, frames, etc.
